The topic of this project was appropriation. When I hear the word appropriation I instantly think about cultural appropriation. My culture is constantly being taken by other races and made into something it's not. I say this because when other races take my culture and make it their own their praised but once I do it's scolded and bad. My culture (black culture) gets shot and killed for being ourselves. Other races think my culture is a trend and it's not.

I wanted to make my own version of the Three Wise Monkeys: Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. I feel like black women are just so strong and powerful because we go through so much to protect ourselves when it comes to anything.

I was in the making of making myself a logo that represents me. I knew the colors I wanted to do and that I wanted them to represent my first and last name as much as possible. However, I also wanted it to be clear who I am. That's how I made my final decision on my logo.
JOIN DIVERSITY ENRICHMENT & ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM
FLYER
For this project, I made a flyer using a layout that works every time. So, I decided to make a flyer for the Diversity Enrichment and Achievement Program, which I am a part of and feel as though more people should know about. The director of DEAP loved the flyer and I continue to make things for them when needed.
